Roy Nelson Otis Laid to Rest
Funeral services for Roy Nelson Otis were held at the Congregational church with interment in Mountain View cemetery. The service featured Rev. A L Norfleet and a quartet, Easter flowers, and six pallbearers. Otis, born October 19 1849 in North Granby Connecticut, married Ninetta R Hodge in 1872 and had six children. The family moved in 1907 to a ranch near Big Timber after residing on upper Deer Creek.

A classmate of Rev John C Backman, he helped at meetings here and spoke in May 1918 at the high school commencement. He left Livingston for a Grinnell pastorate. age about 28 to 30. married in October 1916.

C. A. Malone, 58, died March 31 1917 at his East White Beaver ranch home after months of ill health. Funeral services were held March 31 at 10 am with East White Beaver Farmers Union officiating, interment Reed Point cemetery. Malone born June 26 1858 Mt Vernon Indiana. later Kentucky resident. came to Montana December 1911 filing a Reed Point homestead. Survived by wife Zillah Hiner Malone and three sisters in Kentucky.
