Amundsen to Lecture in Big Timber Auditorium Next Tuesday
Capt. Roald Amundsen the famed Arctic explorer will visit Big Timber on Tuesday April 7th to lecture in the Auditorium in English with Stereopticon views from his voyage aboard the Gjoa. His Arctic expedition completed a century long Northwest Passage effort and has earned wide honors from European and American geographical societies.

Penitentiary Sentences Handed Down at Deer Lodge Court
At the Deer Lodge district court this week three penitentiary terms were imposed. Peter Binsfelt received 1 year 4 months for coal stealing, Jos. Kelly 1 year 6 months for burglary, and Harry Kinney 2 years for burglary. Other cases were continued or dismissed, with various demurrers sustained or overruled.
