Ed Vagnant of Kemmerer, a well known local contractor, won the bid for the new Big Hiney school. Excavation of the basement has begun with local labor. The brick one story building will be modern with pressed brick, hard wood interior finish, three ground exits, and a waterproof basement, aimed for completion by January 1.
Daniel News reports Sept 6 departures for Idaho via Teton pass and a return by Sunday, with Mrs. Davis accompanying her son Bob to Loveland Colorado for second year high. Other items note haying wrap up, Daniel School opening Sept 7, and teacher appointments. Wyoming highway patrols collect over 10 thousand dollars in August and report 8,916 stops, 2,210 citations, 121 accidents, plus one car recovered. Rex Wardell and Zelma Ryan wed in Pinedale.
Public notice reports a Wyoming school district bond election and a long film synopsis for Joe E Brown in When's Your Birthday. The notice details a special meeting for School District No 9 Sublette County to authorize $9 500 in ecoupon bonds for a Big Piney school building, with voting procedures and ballot rules.

In adjourned session September 7 1937 Board chaired by A Richardson and Commissioners Jensen and Feltner audited bills and ordered cash warrants. Claims include Holt sheriff 198.52, Pinedale and Big Piney services, supplies, labor, and mileage. Board approved bonds for school treasurers, coyote claim 4, liquor license for Daniel, rodent control report, Muddy Road No. 5 change damages 50 30 50.06 to Zembo claimants and established the road amendment.
CG F Seifried veteran department employee becomes Wyoming's sixth highway superintendent succeeding James B True appointed after True resignation at a special session. Seifried, 52, Chicago native and Cornell graduate, has long served in the Wyoming highway department including chief craftsman and plans engineer. He is president of the state board of examining engineers and an honorary member of Wyoming Sigma Tau. Married with two children.
Voters are urged to support school bonds at the upcoming election next Tuesday September 2nd to provide funds for completing a new building. The previous vote only covered part of the cost and the district needs additional money to finish construction. Citizens are asked to go to the polls and vote yes to back the essential project.
