Veterans GI Bill expands flight training pay for post Korea veterans
The new Korean GI Bill provides that veterans since June 22 1950 may receive a portion of flight training costs paid by the government. VA will allot a percentage of the school's established charge while the veteran covers the rest. Training entitlements are set as one day per 125 dollars paid to the school, with a general maximum of 36 months of service. World War II provisions differ, as the earlier act paid costs directly to schools and offered subsistence, while the Korean act pays a single veteran.
