Judging by Vir Worley Routh Sweetwater County and Miss Margaret Nedtitner Sweetwater County judged livestock and home economics with Blue Red and White ribbons and a full list of awards across Beef Sheep Dairy Clothing Foods and records.

Editor Ernest Shaw among party drowned in Yellowstone Lake
Ernest F. Shaw editor of the Cody Enterprise and two companions were drowned August 21 when their small boat capsized in Yellowstone Lake during a storm. Accompanying him were Dr Karl G Avery and 12 year old Jack Metzler of Powell. Shaw’s body recovered August 23. others found later. Shaw, 57, served three terms in the Wyoming House and chaired the Game and Fish Committee. All three wore life preservers. Ten people have drowned in the Park in the past month.

New Oil Field Bulletin Issued for Wind River Basin
A Wyoming Geological Survey bulletin issued to aid exploration in central Wyoming’s Wind River basin details sedimentary sections from seven Fremont County sites. The study maps sandstone and limestone placements, estimates depth to oil zones, and standardizes rock terminology. Prepared by USGS geologists with Wyoming and University of Wyoming cooperation, the bulletin is available via the Wyoming Geological Survey Service in Laramie.

Agriculture for Girls to Start at University of Wyoming
A new agriculture class for girls will debut at the University of Wyoming in Larame this year under Dr D. Samford. The program expands to include college courses in piratatr, business education, vocational education, and trades along with required English science mathematics and physical education. The Wyoming War Memorial campaign to raise 500000 for a field house and stadium at the University of Wyoming will begin in Albany County during the first week of September.
