The state urges only women who missed earlier registration to sign up from October 21 to October 28. It stresses this is a clean up campaign to get loyal patriotic women on the registration lists and to make the effort a complete success.
The Green River Valley Chapter of the Red Cross calls for knitters to apply at the Chapter for material. Meetings occur every Wednesday at 2 p.m. and sewing volunteers are also welcome.

Vice President Thomas R. Marshall will address Kemmerer at Cook's Pavilion at 8:30 PM on November 2 as part of his western tour under Ellison-White Lyceum Bureau. The Ladies Guild of the Episcopal Church hosts a Halloween dance on Wednesday October 31 offering prizes for the best costumes representing belligerent nations. Participants are invited to dress as Italians Serbs Irish and others with special decorations and refreshments provided by the ladies.
