A Rathbun brother, Bert, purchased the Turpin place on North Piney, acquiring approximately 800 acres including Ben Lamb’s, Mrs. W L Turpin’s, and Miss Lucy Turpin’s ranches. The sale price remains undisclosed. Bert plans to move there and develop the property.

Governor Kendrick Receives Warm Green River Rally
A large audience greeted Governor John B. Kendrick at Big Piney on a campaign swing for U.S. Senate. The event featured L. J. Howell and Kendrick speaking at the M W A hall in Pinedale with a banquet at Pine Dale hotel. Attendees included A. W. Smith and R. A. Young among Big Piney locals. The program mixed music, speeches by county officials and candidates, and a late night dance with refreshments. Howard Heitz is recovering from a severe hand infection.

Pioneering cattleman Stanley Murdock dies in train accident
Stanley Murdock, longtime Green River valley cattleman born June 28 1865 in Heber City Utah, died after a train fall near Lodge Pole Nebraska while en route to Omaha with his herd. He leaves wife Annetta and four children. Funeral at Episcopal church Monday at 11 with Father Lynch Kemmerer officiating.
