The Jim Bridger Ranger District of Bridger National Forest will begin Oct 10 1965. Forest Supervisor Wm O Dehor announced Dee Ratchie will base at 405 South Main Street Rock Springs Wyoming until a permanent office is ready. The district honors the Mountain Man era and retains large boundaries though Fremont Lake Surveyor Park and Half Moon Lake areas are affected.

Miss Cynthia Wickerson was crowned queen at the pep rally. King Gordon Mickelson presided, with attendees Merrilyn Anderson Anita Pemberton Robin Murto ck and Dennis Lynch in the parade. Community turnout was strong and many grade school and high school winners were named for floats and prizes. An enactment football game ended with the Punchers 28 12 victors and the celebration closed with a homecoming dance.
