Casper Wyoming will host a regional meeting of the Wyoming Stock Growers Association on October 15 at 1 20 pm in the WIPLW Hall. About 230 ranchers wives and friends are expected to attend a two part program with an afternoon session and a banquet and dance. The banquet at 7 00 pm will feature speaker Byron Lepp on Raising Your Rights for the 1960s.

Wyoming Voters Consider 12-Mill Property Tax Amendment
Most Wyoming cities and towns seek extra funds to meet operating costs and will vote on a constitutional amendment at the November election. The measure, approved by the legislature, would let municipalities raise the property tax limit to 12 mills from 8, permissive only, with no requirement to raise taxes. If approved, the maximum would increase property tax by about 4 mills per thousand, roughly $16 on a $20,000 home.
