Corliss Ann Mickelson two year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Gordon Norkelson and granddaughter of Mr and Mrs James I Mickelson of Big Piney, Wyoming, was chosen Judy 14 waiting at the Veteran Baby Cor test to select a King and Queen for WY C publication. Zinda Rae Clark was chosen Queen and Michael Joseph Murphy King William Daniel Bush. All contestants received a thousand dollar life insurance policy with premiums paid for one year by Modern Woodmen. Winners were presented full time scholarships to the University of Wyoming by President G D Humphreys during a national hookup from Homecoming fame. Additional prizes came from Laramore business establishments. Copies of 1947 W O will be presented to the winners and Romper Royalty photos used in annual features. The event aims to become an annual affair with national recognition.
