Governor Joseph M. Carey designates Thursday November 27 1913 as a day of Thanksgiving and prayer for the State of Wyoming. The proclamation praises prosperity moral progress and unity and calls citizens to religious services and gratitude to the Ruler of nations. Signed at Cheyenne November 5 1913 with the Great Seal.

High School Notes Dance at Budd Hall Delights Pupils
Last Friday evening November the seventeenth the first high school dance was held at Budd hall with music by Miss Carpenter Hows Barthohn and Mr Brown. Over two score students danced and the event was deemed a success. Mrs Maggie F P Nicholson county superintendent visited Wednesday and expressed pleasure with progress in our schools. Mrs Margaret B Fish visited Monday afternoon and others are urged to follow her example.

Born Feb 10 1860 in Budwin Kansas he moved to Wyoming 28 years prior and left a wife of twenty three years, parents, sister and brother in mourning.

Esdras C. Swan, died Sunday afternoon after heart failure following a morning of riding and visiting friends. Born February 10, 1860 in Baldwin Kansas, he moved to Wyoming with his father 28 years ago. He married Minnie Kirkendall in 1883 at Council Bluffs Town. they lived together 23 years. A pioneer and upright citizen, he will be missed by family and community.
