DKG Members Meet in Big Piney October 29
Delta Kappa Gamma members gathered in Big Piney on October 29 with attendees from Evanston Pinedale Rock Springs Green River Adair Kemmer Cokeville. A Sage Cafe luncheon preceded a business session with a film viewing “Gladly I Teach” and a two year program outline. Elected officers for the next year include Elmina Papworth president Winona Canney first vice president Rosalie Hackett second vice president Rose Perkins recording secretary Allie Hyde corresponding secretary Ethel Miller treasurer Eve Lewis parliamentarian and Mrs Pearl Spencer of Big Piney retiring president conducted the installation.

Books to be donated to Wyoming State Penitentiary library
Cheyenne's East High School donated books to the Wyoming State Penitentiary library in Rawlins. The penitentiary houses over 7,000 volumes and seeks up to date science texts while paperback books and newspapers are popular. Donors may contact the penitentiary in Rawlins or the State Department of Education in Cheyenne.

District Ranger Rodman N Barker lists achievements across the Big Piney district. Cattle and sheep allotments were inspected while two springs were developed and water troughs installed to improve distribution. Fences totaling 1400 feet log and 5200 feet barb wire were built, with 20 miles of fencing maintenance completed between Forest Service and BLM lands.
