On Saturday evening November 2 Big Piney High School presented its annual carnival. Noise confetti and festive booths filled the scene with Nail Drives Dime Pitches Dart Throws Refreshments Bingo and Cake Walk. The event raised funds and the school thanked the community for support.
Cornelia L Fear mayor of Big Piney Wyoming proclaims Monday November 11 1957 Veterans Day urging citizens businesses veterans groups and town officials to observe with appropriate ceremonies and make it a complete holiday in witness whereof the seal is affixed on November 4 1957.
The Wyoming Game and Fish Department extends the season in the Green River Pineedale No 38 area from November 10 through November 10. The modified boundary begins at the junction of Highway 187 and the Big Sandy River at Farson and proceeds via notable landmarks along rivers and drifts fences to the Continental Divide and back to Farson.

Gerald Hele sustained injuries when a piece of pipe casing flew off a pipe and struck him in the eye and head on Friday. He was said to have a black eye but escaped more serious harm.
Big Piney Triangle Club met Wednesday to advance plans for the November 9 bazaar. Pat Fosher demonstrated bows and trimmings for Christmas packages. Ronnie Moore son of Mr and Mrs Thomas Moore was badly injured when a car jack slipped while repair work was in progress. He sustained multiple broken vertebrae and chest injuries and will be cast from neck to hips at Jackson Hospital under Dr McLeoi care. Cards may be sent to the hospital. Mrs Dan H Baddd returned from Salt Lake City after a snowstorm delay in Kemmerer.
Big Piney schools plan activities for American Education Week from November 10. The event aims to involve parents in education and features open houses, student posters, classroom displays, and a high school program with a movie and tea.
In first grade Mrs Gallemore teaches Spanish and Mrs Ogden German to second graders. Classes run twice weekly with the same language through elementary school for six years, preparing students for junior high. Teachers praise the program and students show enthusiasm.
