Clark 428 and Kimball 388 for Secretary of State. Morton 586 and Hendricks 257 for Public Instruction. Bartlett 888 and Fuller 308 for County Clerk. Gorey 368 and Payne 507 for Sheriff.
The History IV course proceeds with oral reports and Shakespeare study. Ardath Payne tops the recent French exam with high marks. Seventh and eighth graders Tanner and Wenrich excel in team events. A school social Friday featured teachers as guests and a debate favored Mrs. Ross in the fifth and sixth grades. A Saturday 1:30 ball game pits red against blue socks.
Tuesday afternoon three stacks of hay on Lindley Ranch were destroyed by fire started by backfire from a boiler at a nearby oil well. About sixty tons burned before the flames were stopped as local men rushed to aid.

Mr and Mrs Edwin G Erwin and daughter Mary Ellen were dinner guests at H C Dunhams Sunday. The notes list local calls votes dances and purchases including Geneva Shipley Haloween party and Geo Wilson buying land for a repair shop. Charley Hiles reports buying 800 sheep from Salmon Bros increasing his flock.
George Millage, an oil field worker at LaBarge for California Petroleum Co, had a severe accident last Friday when his hand was caught in a block while helping pull casing. Three fingers were severed and the thumb missing. He was rushed to Kemmerer Hospital and is recovering, with return home soon to be cared for by a local doctor. He is expected to receive a thousand dollars from state compensation and a suitable gift from the company.
