A surprise dance for Clarence Holden on Saturday May 24 drew about fifty guests from Opal Big Piney LaBarge Midway and Fontenelle. Music lasted until daylight as Misses Mary Stevens Mary Clark Myrtle Graham Nell Step Ruth Stepp Helen Stepp Clara Bird Jessie Bird Vianna Porter Roberta Morrow Esther Marian Haxel Joella Holden and many Stepp Bird and Holden family members attended. Chas Lackey sold an eighty acre oil tract last Friday to Tobe Huston Scott Barber and Gilbert Hayden who formed a company and will begin drilling soon. Jack Baum lease drilling is reported to be progressing rapidly with Lackey claiming exceptional luck. Miss Ruth Crelly and Mrs J P Jensen were at Kendall recently. Big Piney State Bank reports a healthy condition. William Woods left for Kemmerer to attend his grandfather William Suttons funeral in Colorado. Fred Watts returned from France to Piney then moved to Fall River basin to reside on his ranch.
