Word arrives of a newborn daughter for Mr and Mrs R V Newcomb in Ames Iowa last Sunday with the new parents settling in. Former residents include the mother Miss Alice Ball and Grandpa Ball described as the happiest rancher on Cottonwood. Also notes Carl Hoelzer and Thadius Hoyt stuck out a rain storm near the Ira Bailey ranch 10 miles south until Sunday morning. The spring trip marked the first truck to Opal this season.
