Miss Bailey has been ill causing a week with no school and no basketball games. Students focus on the operetta for commencement while seniors grow studious as graduation nears. Arbor Day vacation was taken and the schoolyard was cleaned Monday by supervisor Ursula Tanner.

Last Tuesday Kemmerer Democrats hosted a banquet and dance for over 175 guests. Attorney R. R. Rose acted as toastmaster and delivered a spirited talk on the political situation. Governor John B. Kendrick spoke on state resources and ongoing development efforts.
Co L Thomas and family visited Wm Payne on forty road last Monday. Chas Cox repaired his wagon at Warren blacksmith shop Tuesday. Mrs Fred Jordan ill with quin...ty and Dr Montrose lanced her throat Sunday, hopeful for quick recovery. Fred Jordan sold his ranch to Robert Martin and plans to move to Arkansas.
The St John’s Guild meets after Rev C Reader’s arrival at the Mission to hear the resignation of Margaret R. Fish. The Rt Rev Bishop praised her service and planning talents. Mrs Fish cites advancing age of Mr Fish as reason. Next meeting set for the Piney hotel parlor with Mrs Chapel.
We are temporarily at the Everett Livery Barn Ogden Utah with eighteen stallions ages one to five years including Percheron Belgian and Shire breeds. Two five year old coach stallions, weight 1800 to 2200 pounds when mature. Colts available for range breeding. Prospective buyers urged to visit stock and expect attractive prices. At a citizens meeting last Saturday one mayoral candidate was named L. D. Tanner. E. L. Hallinan refused councilman candidacy. Jas. P. Jensen and Walter C. Yose were nominated. The Examiner expects elected nominees to push Dig Piney to grow. A baby girl was born May 1 in Mason to Mr. and Mrs. George T. Wilson. Democrats in Kemmerer include Jensen Hallinan Trittipp and Young with Tanner and Budd present.
The text notes a May 11 gathering with officers to be elected for the ensuing year. Rev. C. Reader will address the group on Opportunities. All ladies are urged to assemble at 2 30 p m.
W B D Gray reports a pastor, Rev George F Wenrich of Charlotte Michigan, will arrive in Big Piney about June 1 to begin work. He is about thirty, with tenor voice, former superintendent at Merriam Rescue Mission and City Rescue Mission Kalamazoo, and active with youth. His wife supports his ministry. A Osterhout reelected School District 8 clerk. Big Piney Marbleton North Piney vote on schools. Marbleton bills blocked.
The school presents a musical comedy in one act titled A Dress Rehearsal on May 12 at the school. Miss Jones and Miss Prudence Pinchbeck lead roles with a cast including Orpha Fields Mile and Marie Atwood. An announcement of the marriage of Miss Ethel Dunim and Mr. Charles Oliver Pultz follows.
