Daniel School Closes With Entertainment

Friday, March 2, marked the end of a successful term at Daniel school with a strong program. Bonville school attended, and students praised teacher Mr Hutton for his efforts. The crowd enjoyed songs, recitations, and dialogues led by Merna Querry, Celia Sargent, Irene Conwell, and others.

Reliance Stock Yard Plans Progress in Green River Valley

Oscar Beck, during a Cheyenne visit, discussed installing stock yards at Reliance with C. J. Lane of the Union Pacific. Clifton, division freight agent, invited Beck to Opal to discuss the project. Beck will meet Clifton and return with planned completion for shipment next fall.

River Bridge Protection Prompts Good Roads Club Call

A meeting of Green River residents is planned at the Hotel Piney next Sunday at 2 30 PM to organize protection for river bridges. The aim is to clear ice and prevent washouts during spring thaw and to form a permanent good roads association to support highway upkeep and future regional links.

A new Green River Valley Rifle Club forms at Marbleton and Big Piney with government furnished Krag rifles and 120 rounds per member annually. Members may buy ordnance directly, with annual NRA medal and qualification buttons for marksman levels. No war service obligations. Reply From Mills Friends On Alimony Dispute

Mrs. W. E. Mills arrived in Kemmerer from Big Piney with young children and faces destitution after her husband refused $40 monthly support during divorce proceedings. Judge Arnold ordered Mills to pay but he allegedly defied the contempt of court charge and may face penalties. Mrs. Mills to be cared for in Kemmerer until May term when alimony is expected. Mills, ex-deputy sheriff of Lincoln County, disputes the report insisting alimony has been paid as required.
