A Monday morning blaze destroyed a garage and coal halls at the rear of E. E. Clow’s residence. The fire started inside, firefighters arrived after the alarm, and they prevented spread to the Clow home and adjacent houses. The garage contents included furniture and children's playthings, all burned.
Alleged dissipation of 376 540 pounds of sugar by three Colorado and eleven Wyoming firms prompts suspension charges before OPA Hearing Commissioner Floyd F. Miles in March. Complaints filed by J Nelson Trail seek prohibition on eleven merchants handling sugar during rationing. Names include Denner Delta Laramie Rock Springs Cheyenne Newcastle Gillette Buffalo Sheridan Casper. cases extend to Denver Colorado Springs and Pueblo.
Second series of a community bridge luncheon hosted by Mesdames Ma Mickelson and Mildred Miller was held at Mrs Mickelson's home last Friday night. High prize went to Mrs Effie Griggs and Mrs Ruth Budd, second high to Mrs Reta Carrow. The refreshments featured Anglo food cake with fruit, coffee, and pineapple juice. House decorations included red roses, daffodils, and bite ins creating a spring motif.

Upper Green River drainage snowpack equals or exceeds last year’s 112 percent of normal, with measurements at Afton showing 96 inches of snow and 225 inches of water, vs last year’s 20 inches of snow and 5 inches of water. Nearby camps report varied snow depths and water contents, while ground remains muddy and unfrozen in districts.
