Masons Annual Dance Set For March 18 At Community Hall

The annual Masonic dance and entertainment will be held at the Community hall on Saturday night March 18. The affair is semi formal with square and modern dancing. Invitations have gone to Pinedale and Kemmerer lodges. All Masons may bring wives or partners and one guest couple.

American Legion Auxiliary Meeting Plans Fundraisers

Unit No. 78 met at Marie Farrells on February 28 with eight members present. They discussed ways to raise money for the new Legion Hall, planned a canasta tournament, and completed final plans for an April 1 talent show and dance with a plate supper at midnight. A motion funded $18 to the hot lunch fund for February and March and $5 to the Red Cross. The Auxiliary began its annual Red Cross drive and will contact the community within ten days.

General Art Course Offered at Big Piney

Miss Helen Taylor of the University of Wyoming will conduct a General Art course in Big Piney on Saturday March 1. The five week course includes ceramics leather work and painting. Credit options include 2 college credits for $15 or a $5 minimum fee for those not seeking credit. Enroll by March 8 by contacting Mrs John Evenild or Mrs Bob O Neil.

High School Glee Club Presents Beauty Contest Operetta

The High School Glee Club will stage The Beauty Contest, a tyre net operetta, at Community Hall on March 10 at 8 00 pm. The Junior Band opens with a short concert at eight.

Farm Bureau Plans Victory Dinner After Drive Surpasses Quota

Sublette County Farm Bureau directors met at the Cottage Hotel on Tuesday afternoon February 28 1950. County chairman William Hicks reports the annual county membership drive exceeded the set quota by 20 percent. Plans were made for a March 25 victory dinner inviting all members and guests. Invited speakers include Chas Meyers Evanston A E Bowman University of Wyoming Laramie and Ruth Harris International Youth Exchange. A dinner program and dancing are planned. Discussions covered road signs for members and topics for the Wyoming Ranch and Home Week in Laramie March 6–10.
