University trustees to aid honorary degree panel
Three members of the University of Wyoming Board of Trustees will join a faculty committee to recommend honorary degrees for this year. The panel includes Milward L. Simpson Tracy S. McCracken and Maral Johnson with J. A. Hill Harriet Kioxr and H. T. Person as advisory members. The honorary degrees will be conferred at June commencement. Wyoming stockgrowers are urged to contact the University of Wyoming research chemistry department regarding losses from illness in feeding. Anderson Johnson nuptials set for February nineteenth
Corrinne Anderson of Pinedale and Patrick Johnson of Halfway were married in Jackson Wyoming by a Justice of the Peace. Attendants included the bride’s mother and Lester Anderson. Harold Rue Named Wyoming Station Supervising Engineer
Harold Rue, supervising engineer of the U S Bureau of Mines Petroleum and Oil Shale Experiment Station, will oversee a new 47009 building at the University of Wyoming campus. Rue, born December 2 1890 in Honesdale Pa, studied at Franklin and Marshall College and George Washington University earning BS and MMS. He served in World War I, joined the Bureau in 1919, and has worked in petroleum chemistry and refining since 1920, with roles at Bartlesville and Laramie, becoming head at the Wyoming station in 1930 and returning after a 1933–1935 closure. He is a published author and holds memberships in ASNT and Rotary, having served as Rotary Club president in Laramie.
