DDT Banned For Dairy Cattle And Barns Warned

County Agent Harold Hurich reports DDT should not be used on dairy cattle or in dairy barns due to potential milk contamination and human health risks. Loughary and extension experts note tests show DDT in milk and suggest methoxychlor as a safer alternative with specific application guidance. Also warns that over-irrigation and salt in irrigation water create soil drainage and salinity problems for crops.

Wyoming Goes Abroad Film Selected for World Festival

Senator Lester C Hunt announced that the moving picture Wyoming has been chosen over all other state pictures for display at the Second World Festival of Films and Fine Arts in Knobbe LaZoute from June 18 to July 10. The film, produced by the Interior Department with M P Leopold and Sinclair Oil, cost about 70000 dollars, all from private funds, and showcases Wyoming industry and scenery in color.
