A wild southwestern tale unfolds with Pat and Picnic dominating bets and a dramatic late surge. After a brutal night attack, Pat and Picnic vanish with two armed men and a brown maiden, leaving only memory and a planned July first Rendezvous picnic in Daniel, Wyoming at eleven o'clock.
Wyoming delegates report Ford Foundation provides 490000 grant to National 4 H Club Foundation to build the National 4 H Club Center in Washington. The funds will fund training programs to strengthen rural youth citizenship and support ongoing 4 H Foundation efforts. Gladys HL Oller accompanied Wyoming’s four delegates to the camp.
The Big Piney Telephone Company filed revised tariff sheets with Wyoming authorities on May 25 1956 to raise monthly charges for residences by 75 cents and for businesses by 300 dollars. Copies are open for public inspection at the commission Supreme Court and state library in Cheyenne and at the company office in Big Piney. Protests must be filed five days before the new rates take effect.
The State of Wyoming Sublette County treasurer Clarence W Vickrey certifies the school district treasurer report for the year ending 1956. It details funds received including State Foundation Program General County School Tax and other revenues, and lists disbursements by administration instruction operation of plant and debt service with balance on hand at year end. Total receipts and payments correspond to the district’s current funds and warrant totals. The document is sworn and dated June 19 1956.
