USO Extends Service Through 1947 Demobilization Plans

USO will continue through 1947 with demobilization and reconversion services ending December 31 1947. A fall fund drive was announced to cover minimum service needs through 1947 led by President Lindsley F Kimball at USO New York headquarters. The plan includes about 330 to 400 clubs in the continental United States and overseas posts in Alaska Canal Zone Hawaii and the Philippines to serve hospitalized convalescent veterans troops in transit and families of service personnel.
