Gold Star Mother to France July 2

Mrs. B. E. Phillips of Kemmerer western Wyoming will travel to New York on June 24 and depart for France on July 2 with other mothers to visit the graves of sons overseas. Her son Clifford Y. Phillips, 22, died July 28, 1918 in the Aisne Marie Chateau-Thierry sector. His grave lies near Sermees-et-Nesles, Asa, France.

Trail work begins Monday at Grand Teton Park

Jackson Hole Courier reports a busy season as trail construction starts Monday. A new loop will skirt Jenny Lake and String Lake shores, linking to Leigh Canyon and Legh Canyon Trails. A Jenny Lake to Teton Glacier route and the Skyline Trail will employ two crews joining at Death Canyon and Legh Canyon. Camp facilities, roads, and utility work planned to follow later.

Quealeys Plan Two Month Europe Vacation

Mr and Mrs P J Quealy expect to depart June 22 for a two month trip to Europe including France and other continental countries They will be joined by their son Pat a freshman at the State University of Wyoming In Paris they will meet Mr and Mrs Jay Quealy of San Francisco who are in the French capital attending a McCune family reunion in which Mrs Jay Quealy participates.

Graduation Set At Wyoming University For 158 Students

About 158 students will graduate from the University of Wyoming June 10, including 122 bachelor degrees eight masters one nurse diploma 25 normal diplomas and two rural diplomas. Commencement events run June 4 to 10 with receptions ceremonies and an address by Dr Melvin Brannon. Donald Jewett will graduate from the State University with a B S in Commerce and will attend the Wyoming ceremonies with family members.

The State Highway Commission will meet in Cheyenne June 13 to receive bids on eight highway projects across Campbell Carbon Fremont Lincoln Niobrara and Teton Counties.
