Episcopal Camps For Southwest To Be Held In Hoback

The Episcopal church of Wyoming will sponsor three sectional camps for boys and girls this year at Gramite Hot Springs Hoback Canyon. The southwestern Wyoming camp serves Rock Springs Green River Kemmerer Evanston La Barge Carpet Big Piney Pinedale Eden Parson and Jackson. Boys camp runs July 9 19 plus meals while girls camp runs July 19 20 with activities including swimming hiking handicraft nature lore campfire and religious instruction.

Legion Auxiliary Meeting Honors Visiting Officers and Memorial Day

A Legion Auxiliary meeting on Friday May 26 featured visits from Department President Mrs W Bartling and district leaders. Attendance praise followed by musical numbers and talks. Memorial Day services were held at the Community Hall with a high school band, color guard, and tributes led by unit members.

Sublette County Artists Guild Meets at Mrs Gordon Jewett Home

The Sublette County Artists Guild gathered at Mrs Gordon Jewett’s home for a twelve thirty dinner and a program including a picture contest, short story talk, and several original writings. Guests included Mrs T D O'Neil, Mrs John Stevens, Mrs Sharp, and Mrs J B Deveraux. The next meeting will be at Guild President Mrs Austin Richardson’s home on Wednesday.

Kemmerer Wedding Unites Miss Juanita Thompson and Percy E Collier

A church ceremony at the Methodist church in Kemmerer on Saturday May 27 joined Miss Juanita Thompson and Mr. Percy E. Collier in marriage. Rev. Rutt officiated as guests including the bride’s parents Mr and Mrs D K Thompson and many friends attended the dinner at Hotel Piney. The couple is greeted by a host of well wishers.

Tanner Edwards Bride of Alva Edwards in Simple Home Ceremony

Miss Beth Tanner became the bride of Mr Alva William Edwards in a simple ceremony at the Bride's mother's home. The couple plans a Wheatland, Wyoming home after a west coast honeymoon. Tanner attended Big Piney High, State University, and taught in Wheatland. Edwards attended Nebraska and Denver Universities, Sigma Phi Epsilon, and manages Wheatland Lumber Co.
