Good Roads Drive Growth in Green River Valley
The Green River Valley, rich in timber and minerals with fertile soil and ample water, remains underdeveloped due to poor roads. A railroad is 70 miles away, so improving roadways has spurred freight savings, revived schools and churches, and energized community life as highways begin to resemble those in well-developed regions.
