FHA Insurance Covers Eight Percent Of U S Counties
Washington July 12 The Federal Housing Administration has accepted mortgages for insurance in 2416 counties about four fifths of the nation’s counties and 97 percent of nonfarm population. Los Angeles County leads with over 8500 insured mortgages, followed by Wayne County Michigan over 4500, San Francisco County California over 3600, and Cook County Illinois over 3300.
