The Subleye County Roping Club thanks donors for Chuck Wagon Days. Winners include Calf Roping Bob Hitle and John Antz. Bull Riding Gary Lozer and Ley Martinez. Bull Dogging John Hintz and George Hamiston. Saddle Bronc Ky Alexander. Bareback Vern McWilliams and others. All-Around Cowboy honors go to John Hintz.
The Festival Orchestra of Jackson Hole Pine Arsi val, 37 members, will perform in Big Piney on July 6 at 8:00 pm in the Fiapese Room. Otto-Werner Muellen will conduct. Tickets are 2.09 for adults and 1.00 for students. A dinner for the orchestra precedes the concert.
Scott Scherbel received the Eagle Scout badge during a Sacrament Service at the LDS Church. Ray Ball of Kemmerer presented the award. Scott’s mother pinned the badge. Attending were the Scherbel family, local community members, and Camp New York staff. Scott plans to travel to Spokane later this month for events.
Mr and Mrs H G Brelsford of Big Piney announce the engagement of their daughter Mickey to Fareck R Spiees son of Mr and Mrs Far L Spirles of Casper Wyoming. Pat graduated from the University of Wyoming and plans to pursue a master's degree this fall Mackey will be a junior at the University A late January wedding is planned and both will continue school.
More than 27000 in dividends will be paid to members of the Federal Land Bank Association at Kemmerer Wyoming with checks mailed August 1 1967 to farmers and ranchers owning stock. The association serves Lincoln Sweetwater Uinta Teton and Sublette counties and is owned by borrower members of Servesa. The Kemmerer FLBA has paid dividends for six consecutive years and has distributed over 106000 to members during that period. Directors include J Jesse Greaham Mountain View president and other officers from Wyoming and nearby counties.
John Michael Crockett 18 died after touching a water sprinkling pipe that contacted a power line at a road construction site about 50 miles north of Carpet. His sister Carol was burned while trying to help. Funeral services were held Wednesday in Calpeth with local clergy and church members officiating. Survivors include his parents and sisters Sue and Carol. Burial planned in Oklahoma.
