Patricia Meeks and John Kelly were married at St Anne Church in Cheyenne on Saturday July 15. The couple, both of Cheyenne, celebrated with a reception at the American Legion Hall. The bride wore a silk organza gown with lace details and a Juliet cap veil. Attendants wore aqua blue dresses. vows were performed by Rev Charkee Bartek and the couple planned a honeymoon to Washington and the Pacific coast. Relatives from Utah, Montana, Oregon, and Wyoming attended.

County drought committee meets to review dry conditions
The county drought committee met on July 18 to assess Sublet County drought. Members include Max Borof, Lester Pape, Delbert Bail, County Agent Carl Arbigsit, IA supervisor Glyde Teague and Woodrow Nelson, secretary. Urbigkit reported near normal hay shortages, with severe dryness in southwest and Big Piney areas threatening pastures. Action to seek drought aid until September and possible designation as drought area could allow purchase of surplus grains at reduced prices.

Mrs H Madison Recovers From Triple Heart Operation
Mrs Howard Madison is recovering from a triple heart operation at LIDS Hospital in Salt Lake City. The surgery occurred Tuesday morning July 18 1961 after 28 blood transfusions. Mr Madison works at the El Paso plant and three El Paso planes flew donors to Salt Lake City. Dr Jonason of Pinedale typed the donors blood as a courtesy to the Madison family. All send hearty greetings to Mary Lou Madison.
