County Division Bill Passes the House
Proposers in Sublette county battled to keep a bill alive as it faced derailment and opposition from Kemmerer residents. Representative Jenkins steered the measure, leading to committee approval and a rising vote, clearing the way for final passage in the house and transmission to the senate. The panel considered relaxing the county formation valuation to 2 million, aiding Jackson and Star Valley, while Lincoln county residents urged fair boundary lines. The bill passed the house with strong support and now awaits senate approval.
