An Interior Department circular from the State Legal Office in Hyemslon lists filings for a land claim. Citizens must file protest affidavits in the office by the seventh day of February to challenge the applicant's disposal rights and present objections to the land transfer.
Notice is given that Hallie Gibbs of Dig Pisey Wyoming who on August 22 1915 made Homestead Entry Serial 63770 for W sNE and EYNW Section 21 Township 31 North Range 113 West Sixth Principal Meridian has filed notice of intention to make Final three year Proof to establish claim before Royal A. Young United States Commissioner at Big Piney Wyoming on February 16 1918 Witnesses include Charles A. Walker John B. Curtis Chet F. Chrisman all of Big Piney and Charles P. Budd of Marbleton Wyoming Alex Nianet Register D Land.
An obscure wartime note recounts how a group of young Americans in Big Piney formed the Trench Candy club to make confections for soldiers in trenches. When trench candies were deemed non essential the club dissolved, while the Examiner urges adaptable service clubs to aid the war effort and support convalescent troops in France.

Local committees plan sale of coupons for camp entertainments. Books range $1 and $4. Tap-Your-Shovel Day urged to conserve coal, with Save a shovel phrase on each law and a coal-saving checklist on the reverse.
The alias of the AieGinnis Fam and Cy will hold an election of officers and other business at Midway Wyoming at 2 o'clock PM Monday January 4. Was Wood McCissis presiding.
The Department of the Interior United States Land Office announces a homestead entry intention for parcels in Wyoming. Applicants include Amouse Psiutehingon and others from Basin and nearby towns, with a filing date in February before Commissioner. Names listed: Mitchell Hutchi n, Tlutebinson, and Abia Piney.
The Wyoming State Library Association coordinates scrapbooks for French hospitals, led by district supervisors Marguerite Cameron Evanston Mrs Bertha K Van Devender Basin Dr Grace R Hebard Laramie and Agnes R Wright Cheyenne. Blank books cost ten cents and are distributed via librarians and Red Cross chapters. Books should be cheerful with short poems jokes and stories, avoid heavy magazines and weighty picture postcards, and may involve Junior Red Cross to expand the program.
Mrs K W Olsen of Marysville Missouri reports her son Jean suffered a severe cold and persistent cough for days. After trying several medicines Chamberlains Cough Remedy relieved the cough immediately and cured him after a single bottle, she says.
Public notice announces grazing permit applications for cattle horses and sheep in the Wyoming National Forest for 1918. Applications must be filed in Afton Wyoming by February 4 1918 with supervisor Charles A Beam. Forms and grazing fee information available on request.

C W Carlson visited H C Dunham, and Harry Munn unloaded supplies at I W Shafers. Floyd Norris rode with H C Dunham to Haydens with cattle. Norris stayed at Dunham home. Gus Young and Hal Gibbs shopped at Hillmont post office. Marshall Dunham attended a Halfway dance. Albert Dunham, now in Camp Kearney training with the Utah Field Artillery, previously left Hillmont.
