Barney Donaghey, a welder in Aruba Dutch West Indies, crawled up a 95 foot tower to weld inside a refinery during a fire risk night. A beam blocked his exit at the top as flames rose from below, forcing a dive through the bottom opening. He emerged unburned, lucky the helper slept through the blaze and no one found him until fire crews arrived.

Inscription on Peace Bridge plaque unveiled in 1986
The bronze plaque at the Peace bridge between Buffalo New York and Fort Erie Ontario notes the crossing by a delegation from the Associated Country Women of the World.
