Oil Leases Near Green River and Local Drilling
A.G. Burritt and Elmer Man ske secured several oil and gas leases on the east side of Green River and west of town with plans to place standard rigs and begin drilling in spring. Drilling continues at the Corder place on Chas Budd’s ranch, aiming to reach 200 feet. Local sponsors expect good gas pressure and potential oil flow. Fuel oil for boiler use is hauled from the LaBarge field. trucks transport crude to Susie for rail shipment to the refinery.

Intermountain Livestock Show names non resident committee
A non resident committee from Idaho Utah Montana Wyoming Colorado and Nevada will link livestock breeders and range men with the Intermountain Livestock Show in Salt Lake City. The ninth annual event has a 20000 budget, 38900 more than prior years. Wyoming's T D O'Neil of Big Piney and William Shanley of Pinedale are state representatives.

Hiway Enthusiast Urges Aid for Washington Highway Work

Mountain climber Ralph Heron enrolls at University
In midwinter with no transport, 19 year old Ralph Heron trekked from Jackson Hole to Laramie on foot to enroll at the University of Wyoming for the winter term. He crossed snowdrifts and blizzards over four days, arriving in Pinedale with twenty dollars and a small bundle. Heron is known for outdoor exploits and publishes magazine stories.
