Stray notices seek bay mare and yearling filly
A bay mare branded on left hip and branded left shoulder yearling filly are missing or stray. Anyone who sees them should notify the State Bank of Big Piney or owner M Clarkson Merna Wyoming. The Marbleton Hall holds gatherings every Saturday night starting this Saturday. Mr and Mrs W H Booker and granddaughter have returned from the Half Way ranch and the child resumes school.

Christmas Day pardon recalled 1897 Lincoln county murder case
Henry Edmundson, freed after 18 years 3 months, had been convicted in 1897 for killing Rickett at the Robert Tarter ranch near Big Piney. Prosecution by J W Sammen and defense by D A Preston and M C Brown. Edmundson killed Rickett after a confrontation at the road, firing from the ranch. The case remains a notable old Wyoming tragedy.

Edmundson pardon denied after long imprisonment in Utah

High School Rehearsal For Friday Play

Quarantine Lift Triggers Social Season in Marbleton
Last Thursday authorities ended the diphtheria ban and social events surged. The Big Piney Card Club met, Budd Hall hosted a dance, Marbleton Hall saw a dance, and planned attractions by the Stray Elks and roller skating. Upcoming events include a Christmas Play at Budd Hall and a Minstrel Show revival by the Woodmen.

Visitors from Piney Return After California Trip
Cy Kelly and Mrs. Lee Smith visited Piney on Wednesday and Thursday. They recently returned from an extended trip to California. Mrs. Smith kept the Kemmerer children in school during their absence. Mrs. Kelly will winter in Kemmerer while Mr. Kelly works at the ranch near Daniel.
