Roosevelt Memorial Plans for Washington Site and Fountain
The Roosevelt Memorial Association proposes a grand fountain on a tidal basin island near the Washington Monument as the centerpiece of a Roosevelts memorial. It would feature a 200 foot water shaft with white granite islands and colonnades, connected by a circular basin and a memorial axis linking the Mall and Potomac.
