Fears Celebrate Sixtieth Wedding Anniversary at Open House

Lenore Coates reports a large Open House on February 3 1946 in Big Piney Wyoming for pioneer residents Mr and Mrs Frank A Fear marking their 60th anniversary. Attendants included Clifton Fear Sr and family with a gold green and white theme and a four tier wedding cake. A Sunday studio session and February 4 family dinner at the Fear ranch followed, with many relatives and friends joining in congratulatory wishes.

Sublette County U S D A council organization noted

The Sublette County U S D A Council, organized January 31, lists John W. Bloom as chair man Morris B. Simpers vice chair man and Robert M. Boulter secretary with Edwin Cazer Ivan O. Vickers and Joe L. Budd as Executive Committee. The council aims to unite agricultural groups act as a clearinghouse and coordinate rural organizations for county agriculture and follow Agriculture Secretary guidance. Robertson Named to CVA Subcommittee in Senate

Senator E. V. Robertson of Wyoming was appointed this week to the Senate Commerce Committee subcommittee to consider S 1716, the Columbia Valley Authority bill. Senator Bailey announced the move, noting Wyoming’s stake in the Snake River water used by the Columbia basin, and listing other committee members. The measure would create a Valley Authority akin to the Missouri Valley Authority and has faced opposition and unfavorable Senate committee reports.
