Big gasser in Budd No. 7 sleeps as ice clears

Workmen stopped the gasser at Budd No. 7 after it blew in December 8 and created an icy der rick around the well. Ed Lewis of Wyoming Petroleum Corp says drilling will resume once ice clears and weather allows. He plans at least three more wells this summer with strong activity expected in the area.

Ogden Livestock Show strengthens purebred bull trade across states

The Ogden Livestock Show January 7 to 14 features a burgeoning Hereford Bull Auction with bulls from top breeders in sixteen states. State University to Have Full Time Physician

Laramie Wyoming announces the appointment of a full time university physician to assume duties February 1. Dr Leonard L Sanford of Madison Wisconsin, formerly assistant student health physician at Wisconsin, will join the University of Wyoming staff. The plan includes an infirmary or health center and offices for the physician and nurse. Student health fees are eight dollars per school year.

Anderson Drilling to Begin Tests in Piney Area

J C Anderson of the Anderson Drilling Company of Long Beach California said his firm will begin oil drilling in this territory around May 1. A deep rotary test is planned on the Charles Oft ranch on North Piney, with shallow oil drilling on leases in the LaBarge field. An office will open in Big Piney near the State Bank block.
