A reader column promotes the Wyoming Candy Chart to adjust candy temperatures by altitude. It notes candy thermometers cost 79 cents to about four dollars and describes making a nutty candy using sugar milk cream corn syrup salt vanilla and pecans with heating to the soft ball stage and beating to a creamy texture.
In the Sublette County District Court third judicial district the estate of Howard Masoner deceased is ordered to sell all property for the benefit of interested parties. The hearing is set for ten o'clock in the forenoon at the court in Pinedale. Publication is ordered in the Big Piney Examiner for four weeks starting December 15, 22 and 29, 1950 and January 5, 1961.
An advertisement notes the "Wyoming Candy Chart" as a resource for reliable results at any altitude. It instructs to beat, then pour into an oiled pan and cut into 3/4 inch squares, calling for a home demonstration agent to provide the chart.
The First National Bank of Kemmerer Wyoming will auction on December 30, 1960 at 11:00 AM at the Harry Allen Trailer Court in Daniel Sublette County. Readied are a 1959 Dodge Express Trek truck, a 6 x 6 Logging Jammer on Studebaker chassis, a 1 x 6 Logging Jammer Duck model, an Adams Mine 511 Grader, and a Mobile Compressor Truck with Hercules engine.
On November 23 1960 Kenneth V Noble Jr filed for a retail liquor license in Big Piney Wyoming at the front room cinder block building Lo 9 Block 3 Original Townsite. Protests will be heard at 8:00 pm December 19 1960 in the Town Hall. Town Clerk Winifred Peterson dated November 23 1960. Published November 24 December 1 8 and 15.
An application for a Retail Liquor License by Cone Ross Meeks is filed with the Town Clerk of Tig Piney. The hearing on objections will be at 8:00 p.m. on December 19, 1960 at the Town Hall.
