Iverson Re-Enlists in Navy in Salt Lake City
Melvin Iverson 24 reenlisted in the United States Navy at Salt Lake City Utah on November 28 announced by the Navy Recruiting Substation in Kemmerer. Iverson a World War II veteran entrained the same day for the Navy Recruiting Station San Francisco for further assignment to a unit of the Fleet. Recruiters at Port Office Big Piney offer information on Navy opportunities and distribute booklets on Navy life to answer questions.

Scholarships Exceed Seventy Five Thousand at University of Wyoming
The University of Wyoming awarded over 75 000 in scholarships to students from June 1949 through June 1950. About 18 percent of students received aid during the year and summer terms. Grants came from the University, private donors, fraternal and service groups, and corporate foundations. Livestock Prices Surge At Omaha Market On Monday
Livestock values moved higher at Omaha market amid war news. Fat cattle rose to about 25 cents, steers up to 35.00 and 35.25. Best heifers hit 82.75, yearlings to 34.00, calves to new highs around 41.00 for steer calves and 37.50 for heifer mates. Cows and feeders showed gains, hogs strengthened with 180 to 270 pounders at 13.00 to 18.23, sows to 16.50, feeder lambs firm to higher, and three loads of Kansas feeder lambs set a new alltime high near 30.

Dean Hageman, 17, is named top Wyoming state winner in the 1950 National 4-H Civic Soil and Water Conservation awards. He farms with his father on a 160 acre parcel in Purl County Power, Wyoming, and follows a four part program including soil testing, even-row planting, contour farming, and planned crop rotation.
