Wyoming stock growers seek 20% tax cut on grazing lands

On November 25, J Elmer Brock spoke before the State Board of Equalization representing the Wyoming Stock Growers Association and allied groups urging a blanket twenty percent reduction in valuations for grazing lands and second class irrigated lands. Resolutions from livestock groups and endorsements from county officials supported the bid, with a final decision to be set by the County Commissioners and Assessors early in January.

Fire destroys Larson home and cars in Cokeville

A Tuesday evening blaze in Cokeville destroyed a two story garage and living quarters owned by J F Larson, damaging two cars and a tool chest. Firemen faced poor water pressure but confined the fire to the building. Insurance totaled about $11 500, with limited coverage on one vehicle. The Larsons are brothers of Albert Larson, cashier at the State Bank of Big Piney.

More Transportation for Rural Children in Wyoming
