Unable to report election returns. Piney residents share visits from Daniel, Kemmerer, Evanston, Halfway, and Camp Lewis. A funeral for Bert Hutchinson was held in Piney with remarks by Rev. Reese and burial in Big Piney Cemetery.
Department of the Interior notice states Glenna M Mills of Piney Wyoming filed intent to prove up land in sections 19 25 30 and 25 township 30 north 114 west Sixth Principal Meridian. Hearing before W H McDonald at Big Piney on October 5 1918 with witnesses Orlin Black William Ely Charles A Stanley and others of Wyoming listed.
Notice for Publication. Department of the Interior, U S at Evanston Wyoming. July 17, 1918. Phyl Ralph and others have filed intent to make Final Proof to establish a claim to the land described before Flo LaChapelle, Clerk of Court, Kemmerer, on August 1. Witnesses include Charles A Williams, Ray Daniels, both of Big Piney, Wyoming, and Howard McWilliams of Marbleton, Wyoming.
Department of the Interior announces intention to make final year proof to establish a land claim. The hearing will be before Etheal A. Richardson at Daniel, Wyoming, on the 30th day of September. Witnesses listed include Mrs. Hazel B. Linn Mrs. Caroline Payne Warren J. Payne and John B. Linn all of Wyoming. Adv aug 22 sept 26.
Brand marks noted: cattle on left ribs, horses on right shoulder, Wattle on left neck. Range extends from South Beaver to Fall River basin near Postoffice Halfway Wyoming.
Frank D. reports injuries near the Green River range west side of Big Piney in Wyoming. He lists cattle on the west bank and horses nearby with the post office in Big Piney serving the area.
The record notes Bentley and Sons with a left ear cropped and a notch on the right ear. Locations cited include Range Beaver and North Horse Creek near the postoffice in Merna Wyoming.
