Blind Will Open Sunday On Casper Mountain
On July 30 at Casper Mountain, more than 20 Wyoming blind residents will begin a two week summer school for the adult blind. Sponsored by state Lions clubs and welfare and vocational rehabilitation departments, the program includes training and outdoor recreation such as dancing hiking and horseback riding with participants from Sheridan Freemont Albany Steptwaters Weston Natrona Carbon Big Horn Campbell Converse and other counties.

Wyoming artists' lithographs chosen for New York show
Lithographs by a University of Wyoming student and a faculty member were accepted for the Secona Print Exhibition at the American Artists Gallery in New York City. The student, Irving Feinstein, Brooklyn, had Girl With Rabbit accepted, and Mrs. Berta Wright, on University staff, had The Old Old Colorado Man selected. The juried competition welcomed all American artists.

Burleigh Binning of Cora Dies in Utah
Burleigh Binning 69, longtime pioneer rancher of the upper country, died suddenly Friday in Echo Canyon Utah while en route home from LDS hospital where he had been under treatment. Wife Som Dean and daughter Margaret were with him. Funeral services were held Tuesday August 5 at the Community hall in Pinedale, largely attended.

Meat prices expected to stay high says agriculture report

Girl Drowns in Old Faithful Pool at Yellowstone Park
Lois Pallesen 11 of Neligh Nebraska drowned last night in the Old Faithful pool. She was wading with about 25 others when she vanished underwater and was not seen again. Authorities report the tragedy occurred at Yellowstone Park on July 29.
