The deadline for entering livestock is August 8 and other department entries by August 17 as Jim Roush announces plans for a record fair. The event will feature the Band of the Rockies, 45 piece concert and 40 piece marching units, plus a youth focus with 4 H and Future Farmers of America exhibits. The program includes steer roping, horse shows, rodeos, bands, parades, and the All Wyoming Steer Ropers Golf Tournament.

Humble Gil and Refining Co. to drill a wildcat well in Sublette County. W. F. Biting Jr., area manager, Denver, said the 4 Canyon Unit No. 6 will be heated in the southwest quarter of the southwest quarter of Section 10, Township 27 North, Range 112 West. The well aims to test the Mesa Verde formation at about 2800 feet.
