Wool Price Outlook Amid War and Demand Shifts
Domrette wool prices hinge on domestic consumption and production, imports and exports. An uptick in 1940 consumption is expected from defense orders and improved industrial activity, with 5 to 10 million pounds more output than 1939. However 200 million pounds of imports will limit price declines. South American wool will flow to the US, England, and Japan as continental trade blocks influence stocks.
