With a unanimous vote the Southern Maine Regional Planning Commission authorized an $18,500 study to assess long range environmental economic and social effects of the proposed New England Energy Co refinery in Sanford. The phased plan aims to guide local zoning and regional planning, funded from surplus and aided by consultants and a Citizens Task force.
