Pi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi attended a fashion show at Biddeford Saco Country Club last night. A business session at Wonderbar Steak House followed with President Mrs Donald Lester in charge. An international endowment donation was acknowledged. Plans for fall projects and an October rush party were outlined. An open meeting for prospective members was set for 8 at Mrs Robert Bergeron's home on Greenacre Road Old Orchard Beach.

An early morning fire at the Robert Dennis property on New County Road, Saco, damaged stored shavings and lumber and partially burned a utility wire, temporarily interrupting phone service for three nearby subscribers. Firefighters from Saco fought the blaze, hauling water from a hydrant over a mile, then returned to quarters. Restoration was expected later that morning.

Old Orchard Beach Assembly Order of the Rainbow for Girls will hold a regular meeting Thursday at 7 p.m. at Robinson Memorial Masonic Hall with a conferring of degrees for candidates. In Des Moines Iowa AP Mary Lee Davis 15 niece of Princess Grace of Monaco and a youth eloped from Philadelphia four weeks ago were found Tuesday night. Miss Davis daughter of wealthy parents waitress in a hotel cafe and John Paul Jones Jr 20 who sold encyclopedias had been in Des Moines about three weeks staying in a small but tasteful apartment. Mary Lee said they were not married but in love. Acting on a tip from the boy employer officers took them to the police station for questioning. They were not held. Mary Lee is the daughter of George L Davis Jr and Mrs Eugene C Conlan.
