Three Japanese Red Army gunmen who seized the French Embassy in The Hague surrendered to Palestinian guerrillas in Damascus after landing on a Boeing 707 from Amsterdam. The Biddeford City Council approved a seven member Community Development Committee to study short range city needs and apply for federal housing funds under the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974. Juvenile Indicted In Cohen Slaying in York County

Paul Maberry 15 of Sanford is indicted in York County Superior Court for murder in the August stabbing death of 74 year old Charles Cohen of Biddeford. Richard Tracy 19 of Sanford also pleads innocent to murder. Both suspects are being held without bail and transferred to Cumberland County jail for trial.

Biddeford Cable Update Aims to Extend Service Areas

City council heard that petitions from residents drive expansion of cable service in Biddeford.
