Write-in win upsets bid for Port clerk post

In Kennebunkport 66yearold Charles E Gould won the town clerk post as a writein candidate, defeating Pat Seward who ran unopposed. Gould claimed no prior campaign and noted 123 ballots were cast with six spoiled ballots. The result followed a groupled effort by 35 citizens and drew surprise from Gould and Seward alike.

Stephen Foss of Saco Ward 3 plans to move to Biddeford within two weeks and vacate his city council seat. Biddeford Reimbursed for Dam Study by Clam Flats Project

Fred Bartlett says Biddeford conservation commission will receive a $1,000 grant to reimburse for the dam study conducted this spring by Biddeford High School students and teachers with co op and Maritec Corp. of Bristol.
