Widow Neu burner carries on push for ethics bill

Maurine Neu burner, widow of Oregon Senator Richard Neu burner, and Senator Clifford Case renew a push for a yearly income and asset disclosure law for top government officers, members of Congress, and staff. They cite past conflicts and Baker’s case as evidence, arguing disclosure would inform the public and curb influence peddling. The effort mirrors earlier calls ignored by Congress while swift action was taken against executive branch officials.
